Managing the cooking temperature in the Forest is an art which, once mastered, becomes remarkably simple. Thanks to the opening of the air vent at the bottom of the kamado and the chimney on the lid, the temperature can be adjusted with precision. The thermometer provides an accurate indication of the temperature beneath the dome.
Ignition
The Forest is ready in 10 to 15 minutes.
After placing firelighters and charcoal at the bottom of your kamado, ignite them. After 15 minutes with the kamado open, the temperature rises. Then simply close the lid and reduce the air vent opening to achieve the desired cooking temperature.
